Privacy policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
Dr. Tariq Hussein Yousef Urology Clinic respects your privacy and treats your information with the confidentiality you expect from your doctor. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, how we protect it and what rights you have, in line with Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023 and other applicable Jordanian legislation.
Who we are
Your information is controlled by Dr. Tariq Hussein Yousef Urology Clinic, located at Khalaf Medical Complex, 5th floor, Fifth Circle, Amman, opposite the main entrance of the Arab Medical Center hospital.
This policy covers this website in Arabic and English, and the messages you send us through it. Your medical record at the clinic is also governed by the rules of medical confidentiality and the health legislation in force in Jordan.
Information we collect
We collect as little as possible, and only what we need to help you:
- Appointment form: your full name, phone number, reason for visit, who the appointment is for (you, your child or someone else), and your preferred day and time.
- Question form: your name, phone number and message.
- When you call or message us on WhatsApp: your number and the content of your messages.
- Technical data: the company that hosts this website may log basic data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit, only to run and protect the website.
Cookies and Google Ads: this website uses the Google tag from Google Ads, which may place or read cookies on your device to measure how well our advertising works, for example how many people visited the website or requested an appointment after seeing an ad, and to show our ads to people who have visited the website before. This does not include your name, number or the content of your messages. Advertising cookies are only switched on after you accept them in the banner shown on your first visit, and you can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. Before you accept, or if you decline, Google may receive general measurements without cookies. You can also adjust or turn off personalised Google ads in Google's ad settings, or delete and block cookies in your browser settings.
How our forms work with WhatsApp
What you type into the forms on this website is not stored on the website. When you press send, WhatsApp opens with a ready-made message containing your details, and it only reaches us if you press send inside WhatsApp.
WhatsApp is operated by a third party (WhatsApp LLC, part of Meta), and its own privacy policy applies to messages while they are transmitted. Once your message reaches us, we handle it under this policy.
Why we use your information
- To arrange, confirm or change your appointment, and contact you about it.
- To answer your questions.
- To provide your medical care and follow-up when you visit the clinic.
- To meet our legal and professional obligations.
We process your information with your consent when you send it to us, because it is needed for medical care, diagnosis and treatment by a licensed doctor, or to meet a legal obligation. We do not use it for any other purpose without your permission.
Health information
Your reason for visit or your message may reveal information about your health. This is sensitive data, and we treat it with the highest level of confidentiality.
Please don't send detailed medical information, photos or test results through the website forms or WhatsApp. Bring them with you to your consultation instead.
Your medical record is kept strictly confidential at the clinic and is seen only by the doctor and the team involved in your care, in line with medical confidentiality rules and Jordanian law.
Third-party services
- Google Ads: to measure the results of our advertising as described above. Data collected by Google is governed by Google's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts: the website loads some fonts from Google's servers, so your device's IP address reaches Google for that purpose.
- Google Maps and Google reviews: links on the website take you to Google services, where Google's privacy policy applies.
- WhatsApp: as described above.
We do not control these services and are not responsible for their practices. We recommend reading their privacy policies.
Transfers outside Jordan
Some of the services above, such as WhatsApp, Google and our website host, may process data on servers outside Jordan. We make sure this happens only within the limits the law allows.
How long we keep your information
We keep booking messages and questions for as long as needed to arrange your appointment or answer you, then delete them unless they become part of your medical record. Medical records are kept for the period required by Jordanian law.
Keeping your information safe
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss or misuse, and limit access to the people who need it to help you. However, no transmission of data over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
If your information is affected by a breach that could harm you, we will inform you and the competent authority as the law requires.
Your rights
Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law gives you rights over your information, including the right to:
- Know what information we hold about you, see it and get a copy of it.
- Correct or update your information.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before you withdrew it.
- Ask us to delete your information, unless the law requires us to keep it, as it does for medical records.
- Object to the processing of your information, or ask us to restrict it, in the cases set out by law.
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below, and we will reply within the period set by law. You also have the right to complain to the Personal Data Protection Unit at the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship.
Children
This website is intended for adults. A parent or guardian books appointments for children under 18, and we collect children's information only as provided by their guardian for their care.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with the date it was last updated. If a change is significant, we will make it clear on the website.
